SUSTAINABILITY POLICY
HEKTAŞ Ticaret Türk A.Ş. (HEKTAŞ) is committed to acting within the framework of environmental,
social, and economic responsibilities in order to contribute to the future of agriculture and sustainable
development. Guided by the motto “Pioneer of Smart Agriculture,” sustainability principles have been
integrated into all operations of the company. The HEKTAŞ Sustainability Policy (Policy) is regarded as
a guide to ensure that HEKTAŞ achieves its sustainability goals.
This policy has been established to set out HEKTAŞ’s commitments to fulfilling its environmental,
social, and economic responsibilities while developing sustainable agricultural solutions. In this
context:
• A safe and inclusive working environment based on human rights and employee well-being is
ensured by continuously improving the occupational health and safety culture.
• By employing digitalization and R&D-driven innovative technologies in agriculture, the
dissemination of sustainable production models is targeted.
• Efficient use of natural resources (such as water, soil, and energy) is pursued to minimize
environmental impact.
• Sustainable production techniques are adopted to combat climate change and preserve
biodiversity.
• Contribution to the circular economy will be made through low environmental impact
products.
• By addressing the corporate risk management process with a holistic approach, the aim is to
assess the effects of environmental, social, and governance risks in business processes and
create opportunities in these areas.
• HEKTAŞ aims to minimize direct or indirect waste generation resulting from its activities; to
continuously develop systems for effective segregation, recovery, and environmentally
responsible disposal of waste.
• All operations are carried out in compliance with national and international legal regulations
and environmental standards, adhering to high ethical standards and the principle of
transparency, with open communication adopted as a principle with stakeholders.
• Collaborations will be developed with suppliers that align with sustainability principles, and
preference will be given to those fulfilling their environmental and social responsibilities.
• Employees will be provided with training on sustainability to ensure this awareness is
established at every level.
• Progress toward sustainability goals will be monitored regularly, and improvement steps will
be taken when necessary.
