DOLMEN 400 SC is an insect growth regulator (IGR) which contains buprofezin as active substance, an insecticide with contact and stomach action. It slows down the molting of nymphs and larvae, resulting in their death. Larvae cannot molt and die when they can’t do quinine synthesis. Also, egg-laying rates are reduced in imagos exposed to the product. The product is suitable for use in integrated pest management programs thanks to these properties.
Method of Application
Tobacco whitefly of cotton: Spraying is started when an average of 8-10 larvae are found per leaf since it is effective against larvae and pupae. Second spraying is done 10-14 days after the first one. The population is checked after 20 days and a third spraying can be done if necessary.
Whitefly in tomato: The greenhouse found to be contaminated by whitefly is entered diagonally. Every 5 steps, 50 leaves are collected from mid and top leaves. Treatment is started when an average of 5 larvae-pupae are found per leaf.
Other Informations
Compatibility: Cannot be mixed with alkaline pesticides. However, a trial mix should be done before mixing with other plant protection products.
