Method of Application
PREPARING THE PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCT FOR APPLICATION:
The plant protection product calculated over the recommended dose is first mixed with some water in a separate container. The tank of the sprayer is filled halfway with water. While the mixer of the machine is in operation, the prepared mixture is added to the tank. Continuing to mix, the tank is completed with water. The mixing process is continued until the application is completed. The amount of water to be used per decare should be 20-40 liters and fan jet nozzles should be used in applications. Applications should be made at cool times of the day, in windless or slightly windy weather conditions. Use the prepared mixture on the same day.
CALIBRATION:
Before the application, the application machine should be calibrated. In order to determine the amount of water to be used per decare, the tank of the sprayer is filled with water. How much area is wetted with this water is determined and the amount of water to be used in the application is calculated.
CLEANING THE SPRAYING MACHINE:
Immediately after the completion of the application, safely empty the tank of the sprayer. After filling the tank with clean water, run the mixer and spray system and ensure that all parts are washed. Do not wash near water sources. Do not discharge washing water and wastes into water sources.
USAGE OF THE PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCT:
HEKTAŞ SPICA® is a systemic plant protection product used after emergence, which is effective by entering into the structure of dodder plants through their roots. It can be applied in two separate periods. The first of these is done during the germination period (early period) of the dodder. Its application in the late period is done in the period when the sugar beet has 5-6 leaves and before the dodder is wrapped in the sugar beet.
Lettuce; After 3 months, beans, broad beans, chicory, radishes, alfalfa; After 6 months, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, canola, onion, leek, celery, parsley, turnip, strawberry; 8 months later, wheat, barley, corn, sorghum; After 10 months, any culture plant can be planted.
INFORMATION ON RESISTANCE:
The plant protection product named HEKTAŞ SPICA® is a herbicide classified as Group K1,3 according to its mechanism of action. Repeated applications of plant protection products with the same mechanism of action encourage the development of resistance. Therefore, in order to delay resistance development, do not exceed the total number of applications of HEKTAŞ SPICA® recommended in the same production season. In cases where the application needs to be repeated, pay attention to the use of plant protection products with different mechanism of action (except Group K1,3).
