Description

Method of Application

FIPROVET DROP Dog Dropping Solution is a clear solution in yellow-amber color.

AREA OF USE / INDICATIONS

It is used for the treatment and protection of flea (Ctenocephalides spp.), tick (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) and biting lice (Trichodectes canis) infestations in dogs and for supportive purposes in the treatment of flea-induced allergic dermatitis.

APPLICATION AND DOSAGE

Unless recommended otherwise by the veterinarian;
When the pharmacological dose of fipronil is 6.7 mg/kg and S-methoprenin is 6 mg/kg, it is administered as follows:
• A 0.67 ml tube up to 2 -10 kg body weight
• A 1.34 ml tube per 10-20 kg body weight
• A 2.68 ml tube per 20-40 kg body weight
• If the body weight is over 40 kg, a 4.02 ml tube
The cap of the tube is unscrewed. In the dog, the hair cover between the two shoulder heads is manually opened to reveal the skin.
The tip of the tube is placed on the skin, and by squeezing the tube, the contents are poured onto the skin as a drop or two or a short line.
It is recommended to repeat the treatment with an interval of 1 month.

UNDESIRED SIDE EFFECTS

If the animal licks the medicated area, short-term hypersalivation may occur. Transient skin reactions (skin discoloration, local alopecia, pruritus, erythema) and generalized pruritus or alopecia at the application site have been reported, albeit very rarely. As an exception, excessive salivation, reversible neurological symptoms (hyperesthesia, depression, nervous symptoms) or vomiting have been reported.

SPECIAL CLINICAL INFORMATION AND SPECIAL WARNINGS FOR TARGET SPECIES

FIPROVET DROP Dog is effective against adult fleas for 8 weeks. Its inhibitory effect on egg, larva and pupa development continues for 8 weeks after application.
The acaricidal effect against ticks is 4 weeks in dogs (based on experimental studies).
It is recommended to apply monthly to the sick animal and other cats and dogs around it in flea-induced allergic dermatitis.
The animal should not be touched until the application site is dry, and animals should not be allowed to come into contact with children and other animals in the environment.
For optimal control of flea and tick problems in places where many animals are together, all cats and dogs in the environment should be sprayed with an appropriate insecticide. It is also recommended to vacuum the environment, wash pet bedding and take environmental precautions.
Animals should not be washed for 2 days after the application, as it has not been investigated what kind of result will be on the effectiveness of the product.
The product should be applied to an area out of reach of the animal and treated animals should not be allowed to lick each other.

USE IN PREGNANCY
