Description

Method of Application

FIPROVET DROP Cat Dropping Solution is a clear solution of yellow-amber color.

AREA OF USE / INDICATIONS

It is used for the treatment and protection of flea (Ctenocephalides spp.), tick (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilrs, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) and biting lice (Felicola subrostratus) infestations in cats and for supportive purposes in the treatment of allergic dermatitis caused by fleas.

APPLICATION AND DOSAGE

Unless recommended otherwise by the veterinarian;
The pharmacological dose of fipronil is 5 mg/kg, and S-methoprene is 6 mg/kg. A 0.5 ml tube corresponding to these doses is sufficient for the cat.
The cap of the tube is unscrewed. In cats, the hair cover just behind the head is manually parted to reveal the skin.
The tip of the tube is placed on the skin, and by squeezing the tube, the contents are poured onto the skin as a drop or two or a short line. It is recommended to repeat the treatment with an interval of 1 month.

UNDESIRED SIDE EFFECTS

Short-term hypersalivation may be observed if animals lick the application site. Transient skin reactions (scabbing, local alopecia, pruritus, erythema) and generalized pruritus or alopecia at the application site have been reported, albeit very rarely. As an exception, excessive salivation, reversible neurological symptoms (hyperesthesia, depression, nervous symptoms) or vomiting have been reported.
